A homeless man who helped injured children after the terror attack in Manchester, UK, has been given a home.
Stephen Jones was sleeping near the venue on Monday night when he heard a huge bang, which he initially thought was a firework.
The hero described how he pulled nails out of a little girl's face shortly after the bomb went off which killed 22 people.
Speaking to ITV, he said: 'It was a lot of children with blood all over them – crying and screaming. We were having to pull nails out of their arms and a couple out of this little girl's face.'
Stephen's heroic actions caught the attention of West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan and his son who set out to track down the 35-year-old so they could reward him for his bravery.
Writing on Twitter, David Sullivan Jr wrote: 'Me and dad want to rent the homeless man in Manchester a house for 6 months to help him get on his feet.'
'If anyone can help us get in touch much much appreciated. Such a self less act needs rewarding. Please tag anyone who can help us.'
A few hours later, David updated his posts to say: 'WE HAVE FOUND STEVE ! Shows the power for good social media has. Thank you to all those involved, you have helped change a mans life.'
A JustGiving page was also set up for Steve after his heroic actions came to light and it has already raised more than £25,000.
