A woman in South Africa who was asleep home alone, woke up when she felt her pyjamas being pulled down.
Patience Moyo, 38, saw man standing at her bed but instead of screaming in panic she sprang out of bed and hit the man, who crumpled to the floor.
In a flash she was out of bed and as her attacker stood up she kicked him as hard as she could on his leg.
The thug ran out the door he had broken down minutes earlier.
Patience's husband, Fanuel Moyo, and dad Piet Maredi hailed Patience for her bravery and said she deserved a medal.
Patience said she didn't scream but waited for the right moment.
"I waited for him to take off his trousers before I attacked," said Patience. "I hit him with my fist and he fell down. He stood up and came towards me. After I kicked him on the leg, I started screaming," she said.
A case of housebreaking was opened at Honeydew cop shop and police are investigating.
