Singer Kelly Khumalo's latest album, Back To My Roots, is about to take her to the United Kingdom for two nights.
Kelly said: "I'm very excited about this tour."
Kelly's manager, Lebo Nqolobe, told SunBuzz this forms part of Kelly's Back to My Roots tour where she'll also be promoting her album.
"She's done Limpopo, and because of the demand on the Easter weekend, Kelly will go back there to perform in Thohoyandou and Tlokwe and then follow it up with a performance in Rustenburg before she's off to London," Lebo said.
Kelly's hit Asine was nominated for Song of The Year at this year's Metro FM Music Awards, and Back to my Roots, on which the song is featured, was up for the Best African Pop Album – but she didn't scoop any of the awards.
For now, Kelly's main focus is on her upcoming London trip.
"It'll also turn me into a world-renowned artist. There's nothing more exciting than knowing that your music is appreciated in other countries," she said.
Tomorrow, Kelly is off to Botswana for a gig there. "Before I'm off to London, I'll return to Botswana for a second time. And if all goes well, I may also visit Zimbabwe before London, but that hasn't been confirmed. My wish is to take my music to many African countries," she said.
Meanwhile, Kelly made headlines when she was reported to have assaulted her boyfriend and Durban herbalist, Bhaka Nzama on the night of the Metro FM Awards last week.
